My tasks and Description of My Contribution
My tasks in this project are record the motion list and find some reference for our actor and teach her.
On Thursday, December 22, 2022, our group went to the Animation Lab 2 of the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts at Unimas to prepare for our performance motion capture for Project 2. Our actor, Nurul Aliyah Amira, have prepared two dances, a dance for Wednesday and a dance for Spider Man.
We found that the first dance didn't over than 30 seconds, so we switched to SpiderMan's performance, which took a total of three times before we were satisfied.
Reflection
In my team, we gradually became more and more proficient in using Motion Capture from scratch. In the team, I am the Editor. Besides to recording the Motion List, I also helped the Actor, Nurul, to help her remember the movements and give her ideas.
On the first day of using these appliances, we probably spent almost an hour to wanding and putting the mark on the Actor. Due to Nurul had a leg injury, so we could only do some relatively simple Embodiment moves. Before recording the performance, we will rehearse several times until Nurul can remember. When we finally finished the project, we finally let out a sigh of relief. Because we misunderstood it at the beginning, we kept changing the performance.
From here I learned to discuss the reference with the lecturer first before starting to do motion capture. If the wrong reference is used, it will be a waste of time to discuss and confirm with the lecturer. In addition to these, I found that so many marks were used badly. In order to stop the marks from being used badly by other groups, my teammates and I decided to arrange the marks together and put them together, and this method is also convenient for the next person to use.
