GKC2153_Performance Animation_Duet Acting

   On November 7, 2022, I went to the Petary of Unimas with my partner to discuss and how to perform. After that, we only stopped at the discussion part because we didn't know what angle to use and how to play the role.

   On December 15, Miss June took us to Acting Workshop, and after the class, Nurul and I finally knew how to act out our roles. Nurul and I decided to change our references because we didn't think the references we found were very good, and we finally chose the movie Meet The Robinsons. I acted Lewis and Nurul acted Mildred.

NAHIDA: Huh, that sound... Traveler? Paimon?

THE DOCTOR: I've been waiting here far too long... But finally, I have the chance to be along with you. All the previous time I wasted has finally paid off.

NAHIDA: The Docor... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?

   We found that the expression and body movements of the dialogue were too lack, so we changed the reference.

LEWIS: Plus, I'm gonna be 13 next year. And you know what hard it is for a teenager to get adopted? I have no future, no one wants me!

MILDRED: That's not true, Lewis! 

LEWIS: My own mother didn't even want me.

MILDRED: Now, stop it. You do not know that. 

LEWIS: Then why'd she give me up?

MILDRED: She may not have been able to take care of you. Did you ever think of that?

My Reflection

I can't remember exactly how many times Nurul and I laughed during this performance. But finally, at the last moment, Nurul and I finished the show with laughter. I found duet acting more difficult than monologue because we would laugh whenever we saw each other's faces, which made me and Nurul very helpless. But the process made me very happy, and it was the first time I acted in such a dialogue with someone.
